Success in USANA, Herbalife, or ACN, Why Getting Rich Has Little To Do With The Comp Plan
Are you about to start a network marketing business?
I must admit when I was first approached by a friend about the USANA business opportunity, I was skeptical. He asked me to meet an expert to discuss how I can make crazy amounts of passive money.
Instantly defensive, I said, “Is this one of those network marketing things’”
“Of course,” he said, “Where else do you think you can make that kind of money’”
Lots of people who want financial freedom spend their time researching various opportunities, companies, products, and their compensation plans. While this is important, it’s done completely wrong.
If you want to guarantee you succeed in USANA, Herbalife, ACN, or any other network marketing company. There are really three essential factors to consider, each in its correct order.
Factor #1: Make a decision to commit
Your own drive and desire is primarily what will decide whether or not you succeed.
Our bookshops are filled with books by the richest, most influential and successful people of our time teaching HOW to get rich. Why is it then that most people continue to be slaves for money working 70 hour weeks for life?
It’s the WHY that counts. How bad do you want this? Why do you want it?
Too many people join my team saying “I’ll give USANA a go”. I learned to turn these bad eggs down. Do yourself a favour, if you’re planning to just TRY network marketing, you may as well not start. You’ve already decided the outcome by having little faith in yourself and by expecting your ultimate failure.
You must expect success. Make a decision that financial freedom is something you deserve and you will do whatever it takes to get it. Whatever skills you lack, you’re going to learn, and each time you fall you’ll try again.
Factor #2: Partner up with the best
If you have integrity you will commit to your dream. But how will you get there?
There’s no point going to Uncle Bob who works hard all his life and to ask for advice on getting rich. He doesn’t know the formula. If he did, he’d be financially free too.
You need to find a team of network marketers who have achieved financial freedom for themselves and learn their formula. So partner up with someone successful who has the result you want.
It’s important to ensure that there is a simple system in place that gets you earning money early on. Be careful here, many leaders take a brute force approach with their new associates. Their system consists of contacting everyone you know and when you finish talking to them they encourage you to buy cold-leads at $5-$20 a lead, pass out flyers, hang signposts, do mailbox drops, etc.
It’s costly and time-consuming, but hey, if that’s something you want to do, cool then!
Otherwise, make sure you ask the leader what kind of system they have in place to generate leads and what it will cost you. I highly recommend joining a team that is internet savvy and uses a proven internet-based marketing model to generate leads.
Factor #3: Choose the right company
Notice this is the least important factor. You could have an excellent product and the best compensation plan, the cheapest startup cost, no volume requirements, etc. These are all great, but if you don’t work with a team who know how to market you will have to learn on your own.
When considering a company to partner up with, remember the money you make comes from sales commissions. Ensure the company has an excellent product, with a unique selling point, in a growing industry. A product you are either passionate about or can learn to be.
Also make sure your product is consumable. There’s no passive income in selling vacuum cleaners, for example. You want a product that is purchased repeatedly month in and month out. Businesses with consumable products are in the wellness industry (eg, USANA, Herbalife, Meleluka), and telecommunications (eg, ACN).
